What you need to download from xneoverse mods

I downloaded the latest patcher and installer, and even downloaded a few mods in through the installer, but after watching a couple of videos from nearly a year ago and some as of patch 1. I can't seem to get any of my mods to work, and also not really sure if I need to launch the game in offline mode or how to really. Also I have no clue at all on how to install mods that don't have the. Also pt2 I a few different videos have different locations for the patcher and installer, so not sure on that either currently both have their files inside the main Xeno 2 directory in the steam file area.
